Health & Safety Policy

At Arrow Pipes, safety is a core value that drives how we operate every day. As a key player in Steel Piping Distribution, we recognize that our work environment, ranging from warehouse operations and pipe handling to transportation and site deliveries, presents unique safety challenges. We are committed to fostering a safe, compliant, and risk-aware workplace for our employees, contractors, and visitors.

We aim to build and maintain a Zero-Incident Culture, where safety is integrated into every task, decision, and interaction across our organization.

Our Safety Principles

We maintain a comprehensive Health & Safety Management System that focuses on risk mitigation, employee empowerment, and regulatory compliance. Our key commitments include:

  • Implementing Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) for material handling, storage, loading/unloading, and vehicle movements.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments to identify hazards related to lifting, pipe stacking, warehouse traffic, and delivery operations.
  • Promoting open consultation and participation from employees on all health and safety matters, encouraging early reporting of near-misses and unsafe conditions.
  • Ensuring all material handling equipment, firefighting systems, and transport vehicles undergo scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Displaying clear and visible safety signage, warning indicators, and hazard communication labels throughout our facilities.

Training & Awareness

We provide all staff with comprehensive health and safety training, tailored to the risks associated with pipe logistics and storage operations. This includes:

  • Manual handling techniques and the use of equipment like forklifts, cranes, and pipe racks.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe usage.
  • Emergency response preparedness, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid protocols.
  • Routine toolbox talks and safety briefings to maintain awareness and refresh key safety practices.

Supervisors and managers are trained to ensure continuous compliance and lead by example, reinforcing our safety-first culture.

Operational Safety Measures

To support a safe working environment, we enforce:

  • Preventive maintenance programs for forklifts, pallet jacks, and lifting gear.
  • Strict loading/unloading protocols and vehicle movement plans within warehouse and delivery sites.
  • Emergency equipment readiness, including fire extinguishers, alarms, and first-aid kits, with clearly marked locations.
  • Established Company Safety Rules and a progressive discipline policy to address violations in a fair and structured manner.

Commitment to Compliance & Beyond

We strive not only to comply with all applicable local, state, and national safety and environmental laws, but to exceed them wherever feasible. Our safety practices also reflect our customers’ operational requirements and our commitment to upholding the highest standards of corporate responsibility.

We continuously review and enhance our safety programs to incorporate the latest in industry best practices, regulatory changes, and safety technologies, reinforcing our reputation as a reliable and responsible leader in the steel piping supply chain.

Every Employee, Every Day

Safety is not a department—it is a shared responsibility. At Arrow Pipes, we believe that every employee is a safety leader. Through awareness, vigilance, and teamwork, we ensure that everyone goes home safe, every day.
